Our Journey

Founded in 1996 with Kusum Metal Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai, Greta Group began its journey in scrap trading. The Group’s global expansion started in 2001 with the incorporation of Global Metcorp Ltd. in London, followed by operations in the USA and Australia. 

In 2010, Greta Industries Pte Ltd was established in Singapore, marking the formal foundation of the current enterprise, which has since grown into a billion-dollar conglomerate. Over the years, Greta expanded into renewable energy, food and agro processing, mining, and sustainable industrial solutions.

In 2022, Greta Group expanded to the UAE with Greta Metals DMCC. Aggressive global expansion continued with Greta Minerals acquiring 700 sq. km of exploration assets in Australia and the UK-based Recycling Lives, now Global Ardour Recycling Ltd. In 2025, the Group launched a green steel plant in India, securing ₹414 Cr in government incentives for coal gasification, while Greta Minerals doubled its exploration footprint in Western Australia to 1,550 sq. km.
